There are two ways to obtain a quotation from a supplier using the eProcurement system, Applegate PRO.
The ‘Quick Quote’ is often used by buyers that wish to obtain a quotation from a single supplier, in the quickest turnaround possible whilst adhering to the best practices in procurement.
The ‘Request for Quotation’ is used by buyers that wish to obtain multiple quotations from a variety of suppliers. By nature, it is a much more detailed request, adhering to specific deadlines, specifications and ethical considerations.
You can raise a Quick Quote or Request for Quotation for the product or service you have found directly on Applegate Marketplace using the ‘Buyer Tools’ function on the page.
If you have searched for a supplier on Applegate Marketplace, you can also request a Quick Quote or Request for Quotation on the profile page of the company, using the ‘Buyer Tools’ function.
When logged in to Applegate PRO, you are directed to the Applegate PRO ‘Buyer Tools Homepage’. From here you can raise a Quick Quote or Request for Quotation from scratch – enabling you to request up to ten suppliers for that product or service from the Applegate Sourcing Team.
